Sire Detroit VDL is bred out of the European champion mare Helena, which makes him sibling of three international showjumpers including the Grand Prix jumper Southwind VDL. Also the damline of Luscinia Eickenrode carries great performance genes. Via the well-bred Silverstone and the international sport- and breeding stallion Chellano Z this line leads back to the well-known mare Larthago. With Mathijs van Asten she was performing in the international sport and she produced multiple international showjumpers and approved stallions like Harley VDL (s.Heartbreaker), the Grand Prix showjumper Hopes Are High Z (s.High Valley Z) and the promising KWPN approved stallion Casago (s.Casall). Granddam Carolina is dam of the 1.40m jumping stallion Castellani Z (s.Canturano) and two 1.30m jumpers. This foal has obtained a first premium and got a first place in the mare jumper foals at the foal inspection in Terschuur.
