Everybody that calls him- or herself a jumping enthusiast must know the Holsteiner dam line 474a. It must be the fact that this dam line brought many international jumpers such as Verdi NOP, Vingino and Bubalu VDL. Maybe we also need to add Octavus Eickenrode. Genetic value is not an issue with this one. His dam Boracific VDL was declared vice-champion of Friesland as a 3yo with 80 for conformation and 85 for jumping. She showcased the 90 points for reflexes at 1.30m level. Her first offspring is breaking through at international 1.40m, 1.35m and 1.30m levels. She is also half-sister to the 1.50m classified Ferrari VDL, and aunt to the 1.50m showjumper Fremont VDL. Her famous granddam Shoraya produced Grand Prix-stallion N-Aldato and 1m50 mare Dhalia and forms the basis of countless other international showjumpers.
