Knegt’s Icelos Eickenrode to Lanaken

Ridden by Rob Heijligers, Knegt’s Icelos Eickenrode qualified for the Longines FEI/WBFSH World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses in Lanaken. The Dakar VDL-son was one of the horses that stood out in the 6-year-old division at the KWPN Championships. Two clear days secured a place in the final, where they placed for the jump-off once more. A small mistake witheld Icelos from a higher placing, but a 7th position and thus a ticket to Lanaken is a great result.

Knegt’s Icelos Eickenrode is sired by Dakar VDL and comes out of Eline H (Indoctro x Corrado I). He was bred by J. van der Waaij of Eickenrode Sporthorses in Kootwijkerbroek. In 2013 he was invited to the National Foal Championships and sold at our auction to the Van Eerd family of Knegt Stables. Congratulations to the breeders and owners!
